Thrifting Fun!

I had a great time this weekend visiting two local thrift shops. I got some treasures! All for under $10 bucks!

Happy Birthday Owen!

We traveled to Connecticut to visit my roommate from college and her family. Violet had a blast at Owen's first Birthday party. Here are some photos from the day.

A visit with friends

Brian's best friend from High School and his wife are visiting for a few weeks from Texas. Violet was happy to finally meet them. We headed to the Folk Fest, which was a little disappointing, however we had fun with some cool signs and found a great organic restaurant- www.lifealive.com

I Love SUMMER!

We had a great day today just hanging out at home in the front yard. It was a perfect summer day. The sun wasn't too strong, there was a warm gentle breeze. It was just perfect! 

My New Bike!

I was looking for a vintage bike for awhile and I finally found just what I was looking for. It was only $15 bucks. Brian thinks I am silly, but I plan to restore it and replace things as they go and use it to go on quick rides to the local library and supermarket. I plan to attach a basket to the front and maybe even put on a bell. I enjoyed my first ride on it today!

Fresh eggs

I recently discovered a small farm here in Haverhill, that sells fresh eggs. I learned today that a white hen lays white eggs, a brown  hen lays brown eggs. This farm also has Polish hens that lay pastel like colored eggs. Here is a photo of the variety I got today. A whole dozen for $2.50! What a bargain...oh and Violet loves eggs!

Pool fun!!!

We escaped the heat and had a fun afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandpa made the day with his duck purchase. Violet loves them!!!

Liam's party

We attended the first birthday party of Liam. We met his parents in our birthing class and have had many playdates together. Violet had a blast, and even tried broccoli for the first time!

I made bread!!!

I can't believe it...I made my very first homemade from scratch loaf of bread today. It was a process, but so worth it...it is so good. I am very proud of myself!

Fourth of July 2008

Hope you all had a Happy 4th and didn't get stuck in the storm. On the 3rd we attended the Chelmsford Art Show and Booths. I won Honorable Mention in the Photography Competition. However the storm came and the concert was canceled :( On the 4th, we enjoyed a great cookout.

Trip to Martha's Vineyard

We usually end the gym year, with a trip to Martha's Vineyard to officially start our summer. We had a great time visiting friends, taking Violet on the oldest carosel in the country and to the beach of course. Enjoy the photos!
