Celebrating New Year and a visit from a Special Friend

We went to an amazing drumming circle and ritual for NYE. It was a very different went of bringing in the New Year. I have covered the spectrum from dancing to the wee hours of the morning in South Beach, Miami to this peaceful celebration. Violet love the dancing, she only stayed for half of it. After the drumming, we had some amazing vegan deserts. The ritual followed...it was so amazing. After Brad and I stopped by the beach to visit another good friend, where we put our intentions in a bottle and threw it out to sea. We actually got an email the next day from someone who had found it( on the same beach)...he threw it back in for us. Pretty cool huh? Enjoy the photos! How did you start 2010?

Waldorf Holiday Fair

We attended a local Waldorf's school Holiday Fair. It was great. I think Violet will enjoy it even more next year when she can actually sit for some of the puppet shows. She did love the open play room of course! The school is so beautiful and inspiring. We are so fortunate to have one nearby that we can visit.

First Snow

We had our first snow a couple weeks ago. It was so beautiful. We have had a mild start to the Winter. I think we are finally going to have a short Winter this year. We are due for it. Although I am sure we will still have plenty of snow. We are looking to start a few Winter Solstice traditions. Any ideas, I'd love to hear how you all celebrate it!
