I had a great time this weekend visiting two local thrift shops. I got some treasures! All for under $10 bucks!

We traveled to Connecticut to visit my roommate from college and her family. Violet had a blast at Owen's first Birthday party. Here are some photos from the day.

A visit with friends

Brian's best friend from High School and his wife are visiting for a few weeks from Texas. Violet was happy to finally meet them. We headed to the Folk Fest, which was a little disappointing, however we had fun with some cool signs and found a great organic restaurant- www.lifealive.com

I Love SUMMER!

We had a great day today just hanging out at home in the front yard. It was a perfect summer day. The sun wasn't too strong, there was a warm gentle breeze. It was just perfect! 

My New Bike!

I was looking for a vintage bike for awhile and I finally found just what I was looking for. It was only $15 bucks. Brian thinks I am silly, but I plan to restore it and replace things as they go and use it to go on quick rides to the local library and supermarket. I plan to attach a basket to the front and maybe even put on a bell. I enjoyed my first ride on it today!

Fresh eggs

I recently discovered a small farm here in Haverhill, that sells fresh eggs. I learned today that a white hen lays white eggs, a brown  hen lays brown eggs. This farm also has Polish hens that lay pastel like colored eggs. Here is a photo of the variety I got today. A whole dozen for $2.50! What a bargain...oh and Violet loves eggs!
