Easter 2010

What a fabulous day! Great weather...great time spent with family. The Easter Bunny left a trail of carrots to lead VV to her basket which was filled with a couple new books, make up brushes, a wooden bunny and a wooden farm animal set (that daddy made) and a basket of eggs filled with $ and a little sugar, but today VV didn't even ask once for candy. Thank goodness!

Castle Egg Hunt

We spent the morning at an Egg Hunt hosted by the local Castle. It was a little chaotic, but fun and Violet and her friend had a great time. We are loving this warm NE weather!!!

Homemade Yogurt

I tried this out over the weekend and it came out great. There are few ingredients and it does not take too long. Let me know what you think!


Ingredients

2 cups of Milk
2 Tbsp of Plain Yogurt
16 oz Glass Jar
Cooking thermometer
1 Picnic Cooler


Process

1. Sterilize your glass jar ( I brought water to a boil in a tea kettle and poured over the jar and lid)
2. Bring 2 cups of milk to 180 degrees over a medium heat
3. Turn off heat and let milk cool to 105-110
4. Mix in yogurt.
5. Add honey for a sweeter option.
6. Transfer to jar and close lid.
7. Place jar in picnic cooler and fill with hot tap water.
8. Let it sit on your countertop for 3-4 hours.
9. Refrigerate and Enjoy!

Thrifty Thursday

Found this amazing dollhouse for $10 on my last thrifting trip and today found some furniture pieces to redecorate. What fun! This will be her Easter present from us. And I am pretty sure the Easter bunny will have a small basket of goodies for her.
