Our Week- Monday
We started the fall with a new routine. So far it has been fun following the weeks guide for the activities we plan. Monday is cooking day. This week our friends came over and taught us how to make scones. It was much easier than I thought. And they were yummy!!!! Leave a comment if you would like the recipe. Next week Violet wants to make lolipops. We'll see.....

Weekending
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I am fighting off a little cold. These pics I just came across from a few weeks ago made me smile. Violet just loves to pretend shave with her daddy. I really don't like the smell of shaving cream, but I found an apple flavored one. Happy Fall...it's 85 degrees here so my official fall post will come next week!

Studio Shots and Shop update
I had a couple of moments to organize my little studio space over the weekend. I am working on doing a shop update with a whole new look. I love creating for my little ones and for my friend's little ones. It's also nice to make a little extra $. Here is a peek inside!

This Moment-Hippie Chicks (inspired by Soulemama)
This moment - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

Vintage Dolls
I came across these dolls when I was pregnant with Violet. After I had her, I went back to the store to buy her one. They are handmade locally with vintage linens that have been tea stained. They are all different. I think they are so beautiful and unique. Well, that was 3 years ago. When I gave birth to another girl Miss Vintage...I just knew she had to have her very own vintage doll too. I searched and searched and searched and searched, but I could not find the woman's contact info that made them. She lives in my town, so I asked around. Looked her name up in the phonebook...nothing...I was sad. It really bothered me. I finally gave up until last Monday while organizing I found a book with all business cards and her contact info was there. So, today Vintage got her vintage doll. Violet's is the one with the blue accents. I bought a rather plain one for Vintage and added the brooch. It belonged to my grandmother. I also added the pink hankerchief sleeves.

Yay For Cloth Diapering!!!
Well, I am finally doing it. Cloth diapering. Thank you to all of my local friends for giving me some of their stash and many tips. I haven't used the prefolds yet...that 's next. She looks so cute in them and I am so happy to not have to keep making trips to buy diapers and wipes. I can't stress enough how happy that makes me feel. I have been making my own wipes for awhile now too. I welcome any other tips some of you may have. Like how to get stains out? Your wash routine?

Weekending and First Real Baby Bath
Getting lots of projects done around here. I am finally cloth diapering...it's going great. Learning how to make skirts, more on that later. And finishing up a few projects here and there. Here is one: I saw this idea on another blog out there and thought it was adorable. I had Brian take the first shot on the last day I was pregant...and the next with my newest babe who I must say loves the water! Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

Airstream Life
We had one of the best weekends ever at the Campground this weekend. We started the weekend off hanging out with some of our friends at the their Campground. They have 3 daughters, so Violet of course had a blast! On Saturday and Sunday, we spend most of the day in Kennenbunkport. We visited the shops downtown, took a drive by the Bush Compound and then went to a outdoor craft fair. On Saturday, while Violet and Brian took a siesta, Vintage and I went up to the town Arundel and found some amazing antique stores. I spent two hours in just one of them, those are my favorite one. I got a great start to my Christmas shopping and also got some goodies for the SHOP. There was a party at our Campground for all the seasonals. I inherited a large amount of pickling cukes, so I am going to give that a try this week. Vintage sleeps so good up there. It must be the salt air. We finished up the trip with a drive to Drakes Island, which is a beautiful beach that is very close to us. We are so happy with our choice of where we are keeping the Airstream. It is really a beautiful place. After our fire on Saturday, we took a long walk around, the stars were amazing up there. It really has been a great summer!
Family
The picture was taken at a recent family reunion. My girls with the Great Grandfather. This is my mother's father. There is nothing like family and pictures like these are to treasure.

Make Up Girl
If you know Miss Violet personally you will recall that she loves to play make up artist. This probably started around 2.5. She loves watching Face Painting on YOU TUBE and tells me all the time that she wants to be a make up artist. I usually give her washable markers to play with and she she just loves to draw on herself and others! She has a blast doing it and it comes off easy. I think that a make up artist would be a fabulous career. She tries to get into my makeup from time to time, but I usually can steer her away. I don't want to give her really makeup to play with. I saw THIS on etsy awhile back and thought that was a cute idea. She loves to use her imagination. I came up with this idea the other night. I set her up with some real makeup brushes, a few empty containers and a mannequin head and this girl played for HOURS! I thought this packed up nicely would be a great little kit to give a Preschooler for a gift. Let me know what you think!
