Outdoor Challenge and Violet Harvest

We have lots of wild violets in our front yard. Today was a beautiful day to harvest them and make violet ice cubes to enjoy on special occasions. We also went to the garden center today and bought a beautiful violet plant and bleeding heart plant to add to our garden. Thank goodness Violet is finally enjoying the outdoors. I will share with you the story I made up about Vincent the bug that I think helped ease her fear of bugs.

Did you know?

This week is national turn off your tv week. We don't watch much TV around here. Except Annie. I think we can live without it all week quite easily. I suggest you all try it too. I am also participating in The Great Outdoor Challenge. This has a been a little difficult because of VV's new fear of bugs. But we are finally participating and getting over that fear. I learned a lot of great tips from the Waldorf School. We are loving this great New England weather!

Happy Monday!

Today was Marathon Monday and boy do I feel like I am running a Marathon these days. Chasing and potty training a 2 year old, trying to keep the house organized and clean, helping with the Airstream and not sleeping at night= EXHAUSTED! I had amazing energy up until a week or two ago...I hope it's not gone. I still have lots I would like to do before this little person makes it's debut....well at least we finally have some names picked out.

Big Work in Progress

We have lots of little project going on around here like organizing and decluttering the attic and cleaning up the basement. Throwing out or donating anything we have not used in the last 5 years. But a fun work in progress is restoring and redecorating our vintage airstream!
