DC Trip

I picked the right weekend to go away. The weather was absolutely perfect! The train ride there was quick and easy. I slept nearly the entire way and woke up refreshed and ready for a night with my best friend. I went to see him in his play. He was amazing. I was so glad I made the trip to see him in his show. That night we hit my favorite coffee/bar and relaxed with good company and conversation. The next day I hit the local farmers' market and flea market. It was great! I got some amazing things!! Some that I will be putting in my shop tomorrow. I got a Vintage Showcase Spot for tomorrow night, so I need to stock up. At the market I happen to come across the new Supreme Court Judge Sonya Saltamayor, so that was cool.

After the market, I got free admission to the Newseum. I highly recommend visiting that museum if you happen to be in the area. They had amazing exhibits, which included a Pulitizer Prize Photography exhibit, a 9/11 tribute and a really cool 4D movie. After the museum, I met up with my friend and we went to a Turkish fesitval, had a drink at the posh W hotel in their roof top bar overlooking the White House, then dinner and movie. It was two full days!!! DC is beautiful. The weather is mild and some of the neighborhoods, such as Capitol Hill are so darn cute. Hope to go back soon...maybe with the entire family next time.
