Vintage turned 3! We celebrated Vintage's 3 trip around the sun with a rainbow and unicorn theme. We had to delay her party because poor Violet was recovering from MONO! It was a hot day, but we had so much fun in our backyard with friends.

Storyland 2013

   We started the Summer with a trip up to North Conway and to an adorable children's amusement park called Storyland. We spent the time with good friends. Violet traveled with what we thought was Strep, but was actually MONO! She was a trooper and luckily thanks to good hand washing and Essential Oils we had on board, no one else got sick. Thanks for a great time Tara and A and T.

Don't you just love finding a new playground? I sure do. This one is a short drive from home and has a pond nearby. The girls had a blast on the simple pleasure of a see saw.

Weekend

This weekend was full. It included a lovely trip to the beach. The girls had a blast with their nets and looking for treasures. We also caught a theater production in the middle of the woods at our local state park. It was so fun! The girls are getting so much easier to travel and go on adventures, I am looking forward to many this Summer.

So I have been a complete slacker in the blogging world. Is anyone even still reading. I have been living....started grad school, survived working the med tent at the Boston Marathon, enjoying my little ones. The main purpose of this blog was simply to record a collection of memories of our days. I have set a realistic goal to at least start blogging once a week. I really have missed being in this space.

I have been wanting to experiment more with fiber and needle felting. I had so much fun making this simple little craft yesterday. Now that I am out of colored fiber, I suppose a trip to a local fiber fest is in order.

Anyone out there???We have been very absent, but now that I figured out how to link my Instagram shots to Flickr I can post more regularly. Took a bit of a blogging break...lots of changes and things happening around here. Violet started the local Kindergarten and is loving it! Vintage and I have been attending  the local Waldorf School's Parent and Child program. We learned how to make the most fabulous oatmeal, which I would like to serve at least 3 mornings a week. Enjoy the update!

5th Trip Around the Sun...Mermaid Party

On August 24th....my little bird turned 5!

She can read!
She loves to sing and make videos!
She loves to dress herself in mismatched clothes.
She is very feisty at times.
She is starting ballet lessons.
She is learning piano.
She loves art.
She likes to make her own snacks in the morning.
She still won't pick up her toys :(


   We spent the night on the beach with some good friends and had a very simple Mermaid Themed Party. I think this was one of the best parties we have thrown yet!
