Remember Life Can Be Lovely

   I work Part-Time as a Nurse, it is the most rewarding, but far most challenging job I have ever had. I deeply feel though that one of the reasons I was put on this Earth was to help people.  It takes so much energy sometimes, it can be overwhelming, but you have to remember that even though there is much hurt and pain and suffering in the world, you must try in these darkest moments to think about something in your life that is "lovely" and draw peace and strength from it.
I strive to inspire my patients and co-workers of this when it is so easy to get lost in the stress of the medical world. I had a very challenging weekend at work this week. I am tired, my energy is running low and my feet hurt, but this photo I just captured in my studio reminds me of all that is still lovely. My home, my family, the ability to spend most of my days with my girls and so, so much more. Find something in your lovely life to be grateful for today. Today was the coldest day we have had here since last February. We spent the day by the fire, playing beauty shop, restaurant and drawing on our faces...of course!

Sick, but Smiling

   Sorry for my absence here in blogland, but we have all been super sick. We are calling it the "Thanksgiving Day Flu". The girls both had the worst colds they had ever seen, that eventually ended in their poor little ears giving them ear infections. Despite the sickness we are still smiles, especially Miss Vintage. She never got fussy with her ear, still smiling , playing and of course lots and lots of books. I will be back Monday with a super easy, inexpensive Christmas Postcard idea. Happy Weekend!
