I am so happy that my inspiration board is finally up in my studio. I had been wanting to put one together for awhile now of all the things that inspire me. Filling it was easy...hanging it required help from my husband. Thanks Bri!

30 Days of Happiness: Full Moon
We had a full moon picnic tonight. I never really spent much time looking at the full moon. It was most beautiful as it first came out. It was low and had an orange glow to it. My camera died, but I did manage to get a couple of pics. Happiness today for me was slowing down and taking time to enjoy the natural beauty that surround us.

30 Days of Happiness: Books
I love curling up with a good book. I don't have time right now for novels, but I have been enjoying quick reads. Here are a few I picked up at the Library the other day. It is so important to use your public library, not only does it save you money, but you are teaching your children the importance of reading and learning.

30 Days of Happiness: Hanging out by the fire
Brian and I have been wanting to bring our firepit out to the front of the house and set it up to invite our neighbors to come sit with us. We have had this plan for a couple of years now. Last night we finally did it. We put the baby to bed and out we went. As soon as the flames were in full action our neighbor joined us and we sat and talked for 3 hours. Before you knew it, it was 1am. I enjoyed my knitting of course! What an easy way to build community. We plan to do this every Sunday from now on.

30 Days of Happiness: Trying something new
One thing I love about my husband is that he always wants to try something new. The other night we all went to a local golfing spot. We had a great evening. One of our plans for Violet is to expose her to as much as possible. My husband and I excelled at the sports we did as children/teens. Neither of our parents pushed us to do anything. We had our own drives and desires. Whatever our children want to do, we will support. We just want them to see all that is out there. We will be back to this spot, we had such a fun time.

30 Days of Happiness: Vintage Linen
Vintage linens make me very happy. I found these today while thrifting. I will put one in the shop, but keep the rest. I think they are gorgeous. I couldn't believe they were all crammed into a small box hidden in the corner. That's probably why no one else snatched them up before me. Unexpected finds make me very very Happy!

30 Days of Happiness: Our Nature Table
I had been wanting to set up our nature table somewhere in the house, but just couldn't find the right place. I finally found the perfect spot. This is our first scene for Summer. I am hoping for a long summer since we had a late start. October sounds good. There are lots of beach combing finds here and a lovely poem that I found tucked in a drawer. The yellow silk is one of the first ones I made. I think it came out good. What do you think?
