Getting Ready for Babe Day 2
The take home outfit is finally complete. A natural colored organic onesie will be added. I am still a very basic knitter. These were my first booties and sweater. The patterns came from the book Cherished Knits for Cherished Babies by Erika Knight. If I can knit these, anyone can. The yarn is a light weight cotton purchased from a cute knit shop I visited in Charleston SC last summer. The sweater is wrapped closed with a piece of vintage lace. I am terrible at hand sewing, so I machined sewed it on. What do you think? oh and we have a thing for heart shaped rocks around here, that was found during this pregnancy up in Wells, ME where our Airstream will at some point reside. I am going to use it as a door stop in the new babies room.

I love that a piece of Charleston will help welcome home the new babe! We can't wait to meet the little one!
Those came out beautifully:) I have to get that pattern!
Very beautiful. I too have a small heart-shaped rock that Brian found for me! Can't wait to see pics of the new baby in the new outfit!
