Violet has been very into cooking these days. Last week she wanted to make lolipops. I was not a fan of giving her lolipops, but you can't hold out forever. I do love teaching her that she can make many store bought things herself. These were very easy to make. Here is the recipe:
2 cups of Organic Sugar
2/3 cups of water
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
food coloring (opt)
Combine sugar and cream of tartar with 2/3 cups of water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Boil until 290 degrees. Remove from heat. Add color. Dollop onto parchment paper or into molds, add sticks when partly cooled. Chill.
Violet was thrilled that she could make her own lolipops and told everyone she saw that day what she did!

Such a great idea!!
That is awesome, I am glad it all worked out. There is not much more fun than cooking with kids!
nothing like pure sugar on a stick occasionally, yum:)
Marley would SO dig that! I'm going to have to try that one!
